A trailer of a new documentary about the Legion: March with the Devil. Haven`t watched the film yet. Has anybody?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqRHRjY1TCE

It`s based on a new book "La Légion - Avec le 2ème REP au cœur des crises internationales" by Thomas Gast, an ex-Legionnaire from the 2eme REP.

Anyone got any info on this? There is almost nothing on the net about it

Isn't that Dominique Vandenberg?

Story is more like the one in his book.

May be a nom de guerre or his pen name.

I don't think so...Vanderberg has published his own book with his own name, and he and Gast don't look anything alike. Well, other than the shaved head. Plus Gast is Germany, and Vandenberg is Belgian.

Here he (DV) is on IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0888664/

All in all...a little too macho and oorah for me personally, but that's just me.

P Coy is tough as I recall from early1959. Simply maximum aggression. I was not allowed to box in the milling at Maida. It was slogging to the face. In a previous post I mentioned how the Para offer assisted me.
I thought P Coy was longer than only 5 days but memory fails. The AACCse is 9 weeks. after a 4 week beat up. But the courses are completely different in nature. There is no real comparison for they are designed to produce different products. The latter deals with trained, sailors, soldiers and airmen.
In conclusion, I think she has been fantastic. I for one tip my hat to her.
