A Colombian legionnaire, a deserter from 4e RE, was rescued by the Calais section of the SNSM (Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer, Sea Rescue Society) when trying to make it to England in a canoe. He was handed over to the Police.

Well at least we know he didn't pass his SERE training, chap must have been really unhappy to try and canoe across the channel. To la taule with him, guards better keep him away from water.

Times have changed we used to have a whip round in the Foyer just to get rid of dead wood or a quite word about casualties in live firing exercises or deployment👍 It worked no canoe it was boat or plane

I hope they make him pay for the sauvetage. He's an embarrassment to the Legion and to himself.
