I was asked this question by PM:
"Is there any chance for recruiting to be stopped if France would get into an emergency state because of the coronavirus?"

I have to admit that I responded that I have no idea. I mean in Aubagne the EVs are more or less separated from the other (real ?) legionnaires. But they do go out working. So it was a very good question.

Bet they will check candidates turning up at the gate with a (non contact) thermometer.
Questions like, “where have you been this last month?” will be asked.
Avoid hand shaking and kissing.
Have a bottle of anti bacteria lotion on you at all times
Even after doing pull ups, wash your hands with...
You do not know who or what the previous person s have or done
Avoid people who cough and sneeze (you owe them nowt)
Do not drink water straight from the tap
There are lots of silly and dirty habits that many do with out measuring the consequences.

Hygiene and common sense.
I heard an expression yesterday: “I trust you like I would trust a Chinese with a sneeze!” 😆
Panic can make more damage than the virus. To get to the recruiting post, first you must get into France. If the things escalate, traveling will be impossible. Emergency state - borders closed.
On the other hand, plenty of opportunities for a cheap vacation this season.

Perun, re this sentence, it is interesting to note that the All American Jewish Association met with the Chinese Ambassador in Chicago and expressed sympathy and moral support for all the adverse comments made about the US Chinese community. They stated that they understood only too well what it was like to be vilified, smeared, maligned and to be the underdog in society.

Joke was obvious, if you were offended - I apologize.
All “non white” know “what it's like” Chas. And a few “less white”... Thank you for compassing me on races and relations.

Never - their job is to protect us. Most of the time media don't inform, but stir govna.
Right information in wrong hands is a disaster.
This virus - lab made or like they say, from an animal?
Pig flu, bird flu, SARS......

Corona virus is nothing to be afraid of. 50 years ago wouldn't be distinguished from regular flu. Its deadly only to seek and weak. People panicking with no reason. But this virus is good marker of what would happen if some really dangerous virus (50% deaths) start spreading in same way in today's globalised world.
As for question... do they measure people body temperature in France international airports?

I sometimes wonder what would happen if some of the Germ warfare stuff was leaked out the Labs. wrote before about Porton down in the UK... they also tested germs on people (posted the video) you don´t know.

talks about us contracting it from animals...this is supposed to be the case now. Don´t want to start a conspiracy here but the world is over populated. I am 100% certain they test chemicals on us. you can´t see or smell them.

Chinese in general are not the most hygienic and their animal husbandry practices are pretty appalling , if this virus is zoonotic they pretty much deserve what they get , no sympathy.

In my neighbourhood, several school kids are not allowed in their school and told to stay at home. They had been to northern Italy for their holidays... (and their parents ?)

I agree with surfguy on the first part. As for the virus being zoonotic, it's not the word I would use (cause I'd never heard it before:love::ROFLMAO:)
Anyway back to the hygiene part. I saw a doc. on Walmart - the Mega US stores that pay their employees next to nothing- in China. Pretty scary. Here in Thailand, they have some pretty bad habits too. I'm talking about the big store names like Tesco Lotus and Big C* There is a huge Tesco's in Market village which is a big shopping mall. The butcher's and seafood areas would make a Veterinarian** have a breakdown. Where there are people to serve you there is only a 20cm high piece of pexiglass to stop the people handling the food; raw meats with their grubby hands. 20cm does not stop them from breathing, coughing or sneezing on the food. We always buy our food wrapped, but even then, Erika rinses it and cooks it thoroughly.
For those stalls that do not have anyone serving behind, you choose your piece of chicken or pork and put it into a plaky bag and get it weighed and tied off. Of course there are plastic gloves for handling the meats and tongs. But do you think that some Thai peasant who has come down from his pineapple farm is going to be bothered with plastic gloves and tongs, (turn around Dick Whittingham..) And of course there's always a nicer and juicier piece somewhere down below.

*Big C is the thai name for the French supermarket chain, Casino. Gambling is strictly forbidden here in Thailand, as they know that the Thais would gamble all their money away. the police often raid any houses that havecard games (that they have not organized). they take all the money and give them a severe warning.
** Vets re not just responsible for living animals.

You are right Joe that in some parts of world hygiene is not on high level, but that doesn't explain why virus spread in other countries . At least not for this type of viruses which spreads through the air. masks you see everyone wear doesn't do much for protection (almost nothing). They are only effective if someone sineez directly at you and their bodily fluids end up in your mouth or nose. And there is really low probability for that. even if happens possibility of infection is not that drastically increased.
So all in all face masks are just stupid thing people do and good marketing. Apart from placebo and sign that you are more "hygienic" than others without masks there is no any real benefits from that mask. (In case someone is wearing it)

Locusts in Africa will cause a major famine. I believe they have also invaded Pakistan. This will cause death and misery.
