Deployments 2018

#1
"See the official overseas deployments of French Foreign Legion units planned for the first half of 2018, in operational areas around the world. France remains the only European country with such long list of deployments for its troops. The volunteers asking for service in the Legion know it well. And to be sure, this list is not complete yet.

The French Army (and it means the Legion as well) is once again allowed to publish its deployments. See the list of the Legion’s missions around the world in the first half of 2018."

Meanwhile the elite 2REP are on alert in Calvi, Corsica, keeping on a keen eye on the goings on of all the bikini-clad tourist women on the beach. You never know what they could be hiding, said a spokesman for the regiment.

Actually there's a company already deployed to New Caledonia, and as the article states 2 companies will be going to Mali this year. As for watching bikini clad women, there have been no swimmers yet because of the cold, so the only thing we're watching get wet is our mops and sponges as we scrub the buildings head to toe.
