I noticed some of those blue badges in Sidi Bel Abbes in 1962. My understanding then was that the recipient had been serving in the Korean war. I know the French participated under the command of general Monclair, but I don’t know if the legion was there as well. I could be wrong, of course.
Yes, Lyderik, I know that Monclair was the inspector of the legion, but I don’t know if any legion units actually served in Korea. Do you know?
