1/ You aint family ;Now this thread proved once again that all the Legion knows better and we all are a family no matter what are just words used when it is suits you. Have a good day all.
Since our opinions are worthless, why do you state yours? Have a good day.You haven't been there, you don't know anything (neither do I). On threads like this our opinions are worthless. Read, learn, be grateful the info is there. By the way, are you an only child by any chance? If so, pm me and I'll tell you what having brothers is like.
Hi Flash,1/ You aint family ;
2/ We never said we know better ;
3/ Not all fut-futs are bad, only the ones we served with and know ;
4/ Don't let the door hit you in the ass as you get to **** out of our sight.
Hi Alex,Now now Calauzarea time to back off my friend, and drop it now, OK
Personally I was a “fut-fut†and after doing my time in 4RE I went to 1REC and the 3 ESC. It obviously depends on the personality of each “fut-futâ€, but in my case I have never experienced that anybody had a problem with my “past†or at least nobody had the balls to tell me directly. Anyway 18 months later I was on my way to my Sergeant course.
Any of you lot watched 'Time Gentlemen Please'? A f**king brilliant Brit comedy. Quote above sounds just like one of Al Murray's beautiful, British, common sense inspired rants. Short but sweet. Love it.When you do get posted to your regiment, and are kneeling at your bed praying (as all legionnaires do of course), during a moment of severe depression, when you have no more beer for example, it does give you something to actually focus your prayer on - "Please, please God, send that bitch here soon".
Interesting Stoeng - "faisant fonction" - makes sense . So to get back to the original post, are the original, bastard "faisant fonction" fut-futs back in place or "real" corporals taking a break from combat regiments ?Fut-fut is short for “faisant function†in other words “acting as†in this case a legionnaire doing a corporal’s job. In the old days they legionnaires were given corporals stripes on an armband and were doing the job without having completed the corporals course. However in modern time they had to do the course first (got the real stripes) but mainly lacked experience. However the name stayed.
