Hi Morris, I don't mean to be cruel here. However, you don't really have anything to offer the legion that they don't already have or can get. I'm making reference to your -3 lack of vision. If you were say a computer wizard or a musician of high standard or an artist etc. than they legion may overlook your visual deficiencies. But if it is just to be a 00 (ordinary combat) then they have more than their fair share to chose from.

Sorry, I hope I haven't come across too hard, but you must face up to facts.

Sorry Buddy but you'll not be the Gunner or driver of my Tank...LOL. Doubt any Army will take you with your eye sight. I would go see a Specialist. Maybe some Kind of Laser surgery?

Caporal Chef , I don't give up that easy, i would be ashamed of my self atleast if i did not try by travel to Aubagne.
Im a welder, im not a rocket science, I still think the chance is not lost yet,
Le petit caporal motivated me about the Etranger de Génie,
i have been working on heavy industrial sites that needed fast maintaining work ,before production line starts.
this is not a one timer, this has been happening several times. its a routine for me to work with steel and welding.
I have several references and Documentation as Le petit caporal told me to bring with me. its not about the licenses and certificates, its about what i can offer the legion from my own working experiences.

Caporal chef, why shouldn't i give it a try ? , i've been thinking about this for 5 years.

As I've mentioned earlier, it's Joseph or Joe. If you have been waiting for 5 years, then yes, give it a go. You have nothing to lose.
I believe that there is something called welders eye or welder's arc? something like that. I had a friend who was from Belfast who was a welder. When you go in front of the doc, he/she will know that you are a welder. It'll be written on your dossier. If he gives the OK, then you've already won a major battle.
I'm definitely not here to discourage people to go and do their best. So go, with my blessing (sorry for sounding a bit melodramatic) and all the best.

Did he also do army salute before typing to Joe? :)
:ROFLMAO: don´t know bro... as long as he don´t ask for naked pics... I have to admit though Joe has been around... but is very humble. Should have been a Sgt. (y)

I'd actually promised another guy, Nick Fury, to explain why I never became a Sgt.
After the Gym, if I remember and have time, I'll give one of my well renowned compte rendus of; 'where it went wrong.'
The only thing is, although it may be boring, I like to go into the details. And as I am rectifié I can't really make it up as there will always be someone who eventually recognizes my name and publicly says, no he's full of sh*t.
