Hello veterans and legends,

I am a 29 year old boy deep down I kept wondering what if I joined the legion back when I was 19. 10 years passed and here I am, an Operations Manager running bars in KL. Now I am sitting here, reading, admiring and dreaming to go and be part of the best military regiment in the world.

I had bought a round trip ticket to CDG with hopes to join the legion. I hope I get accepted.

Hello to you Bonny boy. I'm not veteran so I guess then I'm a legend. :)

So when your flight is. Or you prepared? Le petit would tell you what you need to bring with you.

And here am I, dreaming about running bars in KL. Where do we make the switch?

I studied at the old HK Govt Language school a very long time ago and became a certificated oral linguist. The Chinese character course was far too long for me to study. However I know a few but even the minimal number of radicals would not have been possible in my time frame of duty.

Also my wife who has put up with me for 50 years is from Nam Hoy.

I do not speak Mandarin but am also reasonable in Fukien and Hakka.

Hoy Gwan Luk Chin Doy- Leung nap fa (Lt) 99% need not apply.(y)

My flight lands at CDG Airport 26th August 1340. Will take the train to Aubagne and register myself there.

Yes sir I am ready and humbled. I really hope I get selected.

If you can get your ass down to Malaysia by August 25th, I am sure I can hook you up or atleast have your blood alcohol to the roof!

Hello BuxBunny and welcome to the forum. Are you sure that you are fit enough? It is a big change from sitting on a bar stool and watching people get drunk? What about following orders, another big change from giving them?
Yes sir I am prepared for that. I could say I am fit, but I am not sure if I am enough for the legion. I weigh 65kg with a height of 176cm. I can run, but not an athlete. I have been doing push ups and pull ups and evening runs just to help me do my best for the tryouts.

Hey there, I used to speak Cantonese in highschool, but ever since i left school I dont have a chinese friend to practice it and now my cantonese is sh$t. I could understand a little tho. At the moment I can fluently speak English and Malay and maybe a little swedish, since I was staying there for a few.

Check the search button on what to take and what not to take. Especially the 10-50 Euros part !
