Well this story is short.

Went to Nice on sunday, step into monday. First thing to do, pull-ups. Then waiting upstairs.
Small interview by some captain. Did some cleaning inside and outside during the day.

Tuesday Caporal-Chef took me and one other to trainstation, we went to Aubagne. Someone came to the gate don't recall his rank, he
started to escort us to forward. Pull-up bars. Do maximum. One asian was there at the same time, he didn't pass that.

Wednesday morning 05:00 wake up. Breakfast and cleaning. We 7 new guys went to the hospital for medical check. My story ends here, i got rejected cause
of eyes. Left eye despises, so ends the medical check by doctor-captain. Type of fault what makes sure that my
career will be somewhere else. What i can say, merde.

Somebody wise wrote: "there is Legion and then others". TRUE.

I tell to you that i didn't see much but i saw enough. I have previous army experiences and after this trip no f****g way
i would go anywhere else. If i got son someday and he want's to try, i make sure he goes right away after turned 18 years old.

All the best to you guys how decide to go. All the best you guys whom left to Aubagne when i left there.
Maybe you loose money like i did, who gives a s***, you will get experience of your life. Go and try it's worth to do it!

I don't know what eye despises is, but if your vision was not good enough have you considered get that laser eye surgery?

I went eye surgery (laser called PRK) in year 2005.

I was able to see the smallest print at the wall, that was not the problem.

Problem was that when Captain-doctor made me follow some object in his hand, my eyes didn't work especially left one. Maybe lazy eye
is closer term? You know that it can cause double vision. I'm not sure, is it caused by weak muscle or some other reason.

Anyway, no good for service.

Thanks for specifying everything my friend, you've been extremely helpful! I turned 18 no more than 6 months ago and I'm leaving to Fort de Nogent in a couple of weeks!

Cheers mate.

Thats was a problem for me as well, but I got small surgery and its completely fixed, and it passed Canadian Forces eyesight standards. They also gave me some eye exercises to strengths that muscles that move the eyes. Maybe you could look into that, if you can fix you could try to join again. Try some of them in the link below, similar to what they gave me. I heard of people curing it naturaly without sergery - hopefuly you can have similar succes!

You know, buying something like a bb gun probably would do wonders to these eye muscles (plus its fun as feck, and ammo is cheaper than bananas). Lots of focusing close on, then farther away, etc.
