Hi Wanderer, interesting subject, but I have a hard time thinking of bad places I have been to. I searched my memory banks but the worst I could come up with was Sydney, my first home in Australia. It’s got a great harbour but most people I met there were unfriendly, rude and ignorant. Totally different from most other Australians I have met since then. Even the sheilas turned their snotty noses up at me. Very unusual, if I might say so.
Otherwise, most places I spent time at in Algeria and elsewhere were just interesting, exotic and colourful. Same with many other places I have been to, although Seattle was a bit boring. I didn’t mind Texas, though, where I came as a young sailor in the mid 1950s. Texas City was one of my favourites. Other places that I enjoyed spending some time at, in no particular order were:
Havana, Cuba (my first sexual experience, hence first on the list), Legaspi, Phillippines (lots of fun with pretty girls), Saigon (colourful and friendly girls), Those were my teenage years. Other favourites have less to do with sex:
Dakar, Senegal. Sidi Bel Abbes, Phillippeville, Guelma in Algeria. Richmond and Dorking, Surrey, UK. Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth in Australia. All places I have enjoyed living in.
Well, that’s all from me, over to the next globetrotter.
