Good day gents. Since we are all from different places, and in combination have been to most countries on Earth, I thought I would start this thread so people can talk about their favorite places they have been, or worst if one is so inclined.

The goal is to simply say in our own words about said places so that perhaps one can gain insight as to the geography, culture, and our personal opinions about the places we have been.

I remember our Thai teacher asking us something similar. Because it is difficult for Thais especially women and even more so young women to leave Thailand and very difficult to leave Asia, she just stood there with wide eyes when the class started to tell her where they have been. I limited mine to the US, UK and Canada.

And while I know that meat harvested from the wild tastes gamey, I actually enjoy it. It reminds me that it was straight from nature and not a grocery store.

I want this woman to bust my pimple 😄
DISGUSTING. Watching pimples get popped is nasty as feck. I would literally rather take in a breath with the aroma of dog shiz than watch a pimple get popped.

She has solid bone structure though not bad.

Anyways I will talk about my time in mexico tomorrow. It is 3am and I have to wake at 8am ;)

Hi Wanderer, interesting subject, but I have a hard time thinking of bad places I have been to. I searched my memory banks but the worst I could come up with was Sydney, my first home in Australia. It’s got a great harbour but most people I met there were unfriendly, rude and ignorant. Totally different from most other Australians I have met since then. Even the sheilas turned their snotty noses up at me. Very unusual, if I might say so.

Otherwise, most places I spent time at in Algeria and elsewhere were just interesting, exotic and colourful. Same with many other places I have been to, although Seattle was a bit boring. I didn’t mind Texas, though, where I came as a young sailor in the mid 1950s. Texas City was one of my favourites. Other places that I enjoyed spending some time at, in no particular order were:

Havana, Cuba (my first sexual experience, hence first on the list), Legaspi, Phillippines (lots of fun with pretty girls), Saigon (colourful and friendly girls), Those were my teenage years. Other favourites have less to do with sex:

Dakar, Senegal. Sidi Bel Abbes, Phillippeville, Guelma in Algeria. Richmond and Dorking, Surrey, UK. Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth in Australia. All places I have enjoyed living in.

Well, that’s all from me, over to the next globetrotter.

One of my Favorite was Guantanamo Bay Cuba. I was there when Saddam Rolled into Kuwait. 2nd, Saudi Arabia in the desert. The comradery was great and we took a hole dug by a dossier and turned it into home.

So Texas is a very large state, obviously. It is about an 8 hour drive from the center of Texas in any direction to get out of the state. To the south, there is heavy Mexican and latin american influence. Spanish is very widely spoken, and is considered to be the second language by most, save more conservative types. I live an hour from the coast, so most of the time in the year, it is 90-100% humidity, and about 75-105 degrees Fahrenheit most times. It almost never snows here.

Places of interest: San Antonio, to see the Alamo and the riverwalk. Alot of good food and nightlife there. Austin, the capital, is quite liberal compared to the rest of Texas, but alot of fun. Wineries and breweries are everywhere, alot of music and nightlife. It's a huge college town and very diverse.

Avoid Houston, which is where I stay. Some places are safe, but human trafficking is major, as well as Mexican cartel influences, crime, and low lives. Police here do not mess around and will get you for any infraction, but most are decent fellas. Alot of good food, festivals, a number of upscale areas.

My favorite place is up north, where there is more forests and is quiet. Just how I like it.
Driving home on leave from Camp Pendleton California to Louisiana I always liked Texas Hill Country an hour or two out of San Antonio.

San Diego, Pendleton is only 35 miles away up the Pacific Coast was really nice, almost never rains at night 55 degrees F and during the day 75 degrees F.

Continuation of the Mexico post:

The best part of the whole adventure was Chichen Itza. It is a Mayan ruin complex, with a step pyramid at the center. It was built as a precise 17 °/11° angle, one of the two, in order for a shadow to form the "body of the snake god". The shadow at a certain time, once a day, connects to a large carving of a snake's head on the base of the pyramid. Other buildings included a ball court (I have zero idea how one gets the heavy ball played in the sport, to go through the small stone hoops that are some 15 ft in the air. The players must have been something for sure).

Also, a lot of Iguanas chillin' everywhere. Almost makes up for the ridiculous amount of noisy, and smelly tourists from every damn place in the world, most clad in "I love mexico" attire.

P.S. I'm not sure what this drink was at the club my buddy and I went to. It's in a 24 oz foam cup, blue, and has like 8 different liquors in it. I drank one and it hit me like a freight train. Just walk up to the bartender at Crazy Frog's and say "fuerté amigo" 😂😂😂49964997
