Hi Pop's have they offered him his Sgt's course? You can be proud that he's done his 5 and decided to sign on for another 2. Tell him to make the most of it and get as many civvy qualifications as he can, whether it be sport and or job wise.

Yes they have offered him the Sgt's course Joseph but he does not want to do it.
He is quite happy staying as a corporal .
He has his reasons.
He has now got all of the Driving Codes and he leaves for French Guiana at the end of January for 4 months

Congrats on your son pop's! Is he going to do the jungle course?
I suppose all have their reasons for not escalating in rank, but to be offered is congratulations enough.

Everyone who goes to Guiana does an initiation course, how to put up your hammock, make a fire, etc. It's a very good experience.
